Ülkemiz turizm gelirini arttırmak için vizeyi kaldırırken herkesin kolaylıkla girdiği bir ülkeye dönüştüğünden tatil sırasında güvenliği kaybetmektedir.
Ülkemizdeki mültecilerle birlikte halkın da kültür seviyesinin düşüklüğü doğa güzelliklerimize rağmen tercih sıramızı düşürmektedir.
Gıda güvenliğine verilmeyen değer, istihdam sağlıyorsunuz diye alkışlanarak yalandan yapılan denetimler ve personele verilmeyen gerçek gıda güvenliği eğitimi yüzünden; gastronomi turizmi için ideal olan ülkemizi, tatilden sonra çevremize gıda zehirlenmesi yaşadım diye kötü reklam yapılan bir hale getirmiştir. Özellikle gastronomi turizmi için seçilen GAP turları yaz aylarında sıcaklığın da artmasıyla, turdaki turistlerin gıda zehirlenmesi yaşamasına neden olmaktadır. Çevremde de gözlemlediğim GAP turu ardından arkadaşlarımın bir süre hastanede ve evde kalmak zorunda olması, çoğu kişinin senede bir defa çıkabildiği tatilden hasta dönmesi de bir daha tercih edilmesini ve önerilmesini engelliyor. Oysaki etkin denetimler, eğitimler ve yaptırımlarla gıda güvenliği kültürü oluşturulsa bireysel reklamla da çok sayıda turist çekilebilir.
Özellikle Akdeniz’de sürekli düzenlenen tekne turları/korsan turlarında da genel olarak et/balık salata menüsü sunuluyor. Ancak salata/meze saatlerce sıcakta açıkta bekletiliyor. Tavuk ve balık için pişirme sonrası iç sıcaklık ölçümü yapılmadığı ve bilinmediği gibi bu riskli ürünler de oda sıcaklığında uzun süre bekletiliyor. Bilindiği halde hiçbir kontrol gerçekleştirilmiyor.
Akdeniz bölgesinde özellikle turlarla meyve tadım etkinliği gerçekleştiriliyor ancak birçok ülkede gümrükten dönen pestisit kalıntılı meyve sebzeler medyada yer bulduğundan özellikle yabancı turist tercih etmek istemeyebilir.
Kokartlı rehberlerimize rağmen geziler sırasında tarih, coğrafya, mitoloji, kültür açısından tatmin edici bilgiler çoğu rehber tarafından verilemiyor. Temmuz ayında gerçekleştirdiğim 2 turda da (Alanya) rehberler birkaç dakika sıradan bilgi verirken tur boyunca avokado bahçelerinden, muz bahçelerinden, pekmez sattıklarından bahsedip instagramdan sipariş verebilirsinize bağladı. Keza özellikle 2 senedir gerçekleştirdiğim bütün turlarda gıda güvenliği bilinci olmayan kişilerin hazırladığı konserveler (ki oldukça risklidir) satılmaya çalışıldı. Hiçbir etiketi bulunmayan izni olmayan yerel üreticiler turların uğrak yeri. Bu noktada da aslında olay gıda güvenliğine bağlanıyor. Ayrıca mitolojik, tarih, kültür ve coğrafya açısından birçok bilgi verilebilecek noktalar avm gibi gezdirildiğinden değer göremiyor.
Her ne kadar kur farkından ucuz bir ülkeye dönüşsek de parsellenen plajlara düzgün bir hizmet sunulmadığı halde yüksek fiyatlarla giriş yapılmakta. Komşumuz Yunanistan’da ise plajlara havlunla girmek ücretsizken şezlong ve yediklerin için ücret talep ediliyor. Aktiviteler de özellikle yerli turist için çok yüksek ücretli.
Ülkemiz yabancı turistler tarafından zaten Arap ülkesi sanıldığından olsa gerek bazı otellerde yapılan Türk gecelerinde gösteriler Türk oyunları, Türk kültüründen çok Arap kültürü içermekte. Yabancı turist için ilgi çekici olabilir ancak yerli turist için bir daha tercih etmeme sebebi.
