TÜRK TURİZMİNİN KÜRESEL LİDERLİĞİ İÇİN ÜÇ KRİTİK ADIM
Dünya genelinde kongre, toplantı ve etkinlik (MICE) sektörünün en prestijli buluşma noktası olan IMEX Frankfurt 2026, bu yıl da küresel endüstrinin devlerini bir araya getirdi. 19-21 Mayıs 2026 tarihleri arasında Messe Frankfurt’ta kapılarını açan ve 100’den fazla ülkeden binlerce profesyoneli ağırlayan fuarda, destinasyonlar arası küresel rekabet zirve noktasına ulaştı.
Bu dev organizasyona, TÜRSAB Denetim Kurulu Üyesi Sayın Dr. Yüksel Türemez ile birlikte katılım sağladık. Havalimanına adım attığımız andan itibaren her detayı “IMEX” tabelalarıyla kusursuzca planlanan bu etkinlik, başarılı bir ev sahipliğinin nasıl olması gerektiğini bizlere bir kez daha gösterdi. Tüm dünya kentleri kendi bölgelerine uluslararası kongreleri kazandırmak için yoğun bir diplomasi yürütürken bizler de zamanımızın büyük bölümünü TGA (Türkiye Turizm Tanıtım ve Geliştirme Ajansı) ve Türk acentelerimizin bulunduğu stantlarda geçirdik. Dostlarımızla hasret giderirken ülkemizin bu dev arenadaki varlığından gurur duyduk. Bugüne kadar katıldığım ve ülkemizin gururu olan Antalya Turizm Fuarı’nı tenzih ederek söylüyorum; IMEX seviyesinde, uluslararası yatırımcıları ülkemize çekecek bu çapta dev organizasyonların Türkiye’de de artmasını yürekten arzu ediyorum.
Küresel Rekabette İstanbul Rüzgarı ve “Her Şey İstanbul İçin”
Fuar boyunca en net gördüğüm şey şuydu: Bir kenti güçlü kılan, sadece sunduğu olanaklar değil, o olanakların ardındaki köklü hikayedir. Doğu ile Batı’nın, köklü bir tarih ile modern altyapının kesişim noktası olan İstanbul, IMEX Frankfurt 2026’da uluslararası etkinlik organizatörlerinin doğal odak noktasıydı.
Sektör temsilcileriyle yaptığımız görüşmelerde İstanbul’un; modern kongre merkezleri, üst düzey konaklama kapasitesi, lojistik kolaylıkları ve kültürel derinliğiyle sadece bir etkinlik alanı değil, küresel vizyonların şekillendiği bir “ilham merkezi” olduğu bir kez daha tescillendi. Fuarda “Her şey İstanbul için” vizyonu etrafında birleşen sektör profesyonellerimizin yürüttüğü B2B görüşmeler, şehrimizin uluslararası etkinlik pazarında hak ettiği küresel liderliği geri alma kararlılığını açıkça ortaya koydu.
Frankfurt İzlenimlerim: MICE Sektörünün Gücü ve Şehrin Kontrastı
Main Nehri kıyısında yer alan Frankfurt, önemli bir finans ve ticaret merkezi olmasının yanı sıra zengin tarihi dokusu, kültürel mekânları ve fuarlarıyla da ünlü. Hem tarihi hem de modern yüzüyle, özellikle fuar dönemlerinde yoğun turist çekiyor. Frankfurt’ta bulunduğum süre boyunca bir şehrin sadece fuar ve finans merkezi olmasının bile ona neler kazandırdığına bizzat şahit oldum. Tercih ettiğim Savoy Hotel, vardığımda geniş çaplı bir şantiye halindeydi. Ancak bu duruma rağmen her gün tam kapasite doluydu. Bu, Frankfurt’un küresel pazar konumlandırmasının muazzam bir sonucudur.
Frankfurt, ulaşım ağlarının kesişme noktasında yer alıyor. Dünyanın en işlek havalimanına sahip, hızlı tren, metro ve omnibüs imkânları da düzenli ve mükemmel. Ulaşımın mükemmelliği sayesinde burada dünyanın her ülkesinden gelen, yaşayan ve çalışan çok sayıda insan var. 2025 yılı itibarıyla 778.589 nüfusuyla Frankfurt Almanya’nın en kozmopolit ve kalabalık beşinci şehri olmuş.
Kültürel, etnik ve dini açıdan çeşitlilik gösteren şehir nüfusunun yarısı ve gençlerin çoğunluğu göçmen kökenli, ayrıca Almanya’da Türklerin en çok olduğu şehirlerin başında yer alıyor.
Frankfurt, GaWC (Küreselleşme ve Dünya Şehirleri Araştırma Ağı) tarafından Alfa dereceli bir dünya şehri olarak sınıflandırılmış. Kişi başı satın alma gücüne göre Avrupa’nın en zengin kenti sayılıyor. Avrupa Birliği’nin dört kurumsal merkezinden biri olarak Avrupa Merkez Bankası’na da ev sahipliği yapmakta. Tüm bunlar nedeniyle Almanya’nın en yoğun iş bölgesi. Otomotiv, teknoloji ve araştırma, danışmanlık, medya ve yaratıcı endüstriler alanında oldukça ileride.
Şehrin turistik dokusuna gelirsek:
Pek çok parka ve botanik bahçesine ev sahipliği yapan şehrin yaklaşık % 52’si yeşil alandan oluşuyor. Frankfurt, “Avrupa Şehirleri İklim İttifakı”nın kurucu üyesi ve 2030 yılına kadar karbon emisyonlarında % 50’lik bir azalma hedefiyle çalışmayı taahhüt etmiş. Güneyinde, Almanya’nın en büyük şehir ormanı olan “Frankfurt Şehir Ormanı” yer alıyor. En büyük iki botanik bahçesinden biri, Palmengarten, diğeri ise 5 bin türü içeren oldukça büyük bir arboretum olan Botanischer Botanik Bahçesi.
Şehir otuzdan fazla müzeye ev sahipliği yapıyor. Alman Mimarlık Müzesi, Film Müzesi, Frankfurt İkon Müzesi, Heykel Müzesi, Uygulamalı Sanatlar Müzesi, Bölgesel Sanat Müzesi, Dünya Kültürleri Müzesi, Tarih Müzesi, Modern Sanat Müzesi, Goethe Evi, Arkeoloji Müzesi, Karikatür ve Çizgi Roman Müzesi, Katedral Müzesi, belli başlı müzelerinden. Doğa Tarihi Müzesi, Almanya’daki en büyük ikinci doğal tarihi müzesi. Dünyanın en büyük kütüphanelerinden biri olan Alman Ulusal Kütüphanesi’nin iki merkezinden biri burada bulunuyor. Şehirde çok sayıda opera binası, konser salonu ve tiyatro salonu da yer alıyor.
Aynı zamanda festivallerin şehri olan Frankfurt, yıl boyunca düzenlenen; Riverbank Festivali, Işık Festivali, Müze gecesi, Kulüp gecesi, Gökdelen Festivali, Taş Eşya Festivali gibifestivallerde dünyanın her yerinden gelen ziyaretçileri ağırlıyor.
Avrupa’da silüetinde gökdelenlere yer veren nadir şehirlerden olan Frankfurt, gökdelenler ile geleneksel Alman mimarisini harmanlayan kozmopolit yapısı nedeniyle Mainhattan olarak da anılıyor. Frankfurt’un İkinci Dünya Savaşı’nda büyük hasar gören tarihi merkezi, kısmen orijinal planlarına sadık kalınarak rekonstrüksiyon projeleriyle yeniden canlandırılmış. Şehir genelinde Gotik tarzdaki tarihi yapılarla modern çelik ve cam cepheli plazaları yan yana görebiliyorsunuz.
1888 yapım tarihli Hauptbahnhof (Merkez Tren İstasyonu) görkemli mimarisiyle harika bir yapı, ancak çevresi maalesef ciddi bir hayal kırıklığı yaratıyor. Bölgede yoğunlaşan mülteci nüfusu, evsizler ve çöp sorunu şehrin imajına gölge düşürüyor. Kriminal olaylara ve hırsızlıklara bizzat şahit olmak üzücüydü. İstasyon çevresindeki bu kaotik ortamı bir kenara bırakırsak, şehrin geri kalanı son derece temiz ve yayaya saygılı. Frankfurt’un bu sosyolojik sorunlarına rağmen turizmden aldığı payı gördükçe, cennet vatanımızın ve İstanbul’un ne kadar büyük bir potansiyel taşıdığını daha iyi anlıyorum.
Türk Turizminin Küresel Liderliği İçin 3 Kritik Adım
Önümüzdeki dönemde çok sayıda büyük ölçekli uluslararası kongre ve etkinliğin rotasını yeniden ülkemize çevirmesi için Türkiye’nin şu üç stratejik modele acilen odaklanması elzemdir:
1. End Client (Nihai Müşteri) Odaklılık: Asıl bütçeyi yöneten nihai müşteriye ulaşmak zorundayız. Küresel bir ilaç firması Antalya’da 500 doktorluk bir kongre için PCO (Profesyonel Kongre Organizatörü) ile anlaşsa da asıl bütçenin ve etkinliğin sahibi o ilaç firmasıdır. Türkiye doğrudan “End Client” ile bağ kuracak stratejiler geliştirmelidir.
2. Hosted Buyer (Alım Heyeti) Sistemi: Uluslararası fuarlarda şirketlerimizin kapı kapı dolaşmak yerine, doğrudan satın almaya hazır hedef müşterilerle masaya oturtulduğu bu sistem ülkemiz için olmazsa olmazdır.
3. DMC (Destination Management Company) Uzmanlığı: Büyük tur operatörlerinin ve kurumsal firmaların sahadaki “gözü, kulağı ve operasyon ortağı” olan DMC’ler, bölgenin tüm turizm operasyonunu yöneten yerel uzmanlardır. Türkiye, destinasyon yönetiminde DMC modelini daha da güçlendirmelidir.
